| I welcome you into this sacred space
called Woman Tree Art. As a woman, graced with an artistic
imagination and the gift of opportunities for study and training as
well as time, I am grateful to God and to my Sisters in Community.
I chose the tree as a symbol of inspiration expressed in many
visual forms and media from oil pastel and watercolor-resist to
paper batik and conte crayon on amate.
Please do peruse the art you will find in these pages:
penguins, florals, deserts as well as Madonnas to name just a few.
Several of my paintings, presented also in the form of prints and
note cards, are entitled: "The Wounded Shepherd", "The Jesus
Tree", "God's Favorites", "Reflection of the Mothers", "Drive-by
Pieta", "Ol' Clown Still Kickin' ", and "The Ivory-bill Woodpecker".
I pray that you will find shade, nurturing and joy in this sacred
space and that you might like to share it with someone special in
your life. |
